Try Us Out For Free!

Come see why CrossFit Charlottesville is so awesome. We have free days every Mon/Wed at 6:15PM and Saturdays at Noon.

February 17, 2012 · Kyle

Step 1: Try and Compare (Recommended)

  • Read testimonials from our members.
  • Visit our free intro class time on Saturday at Noon or Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:15PM.
  • Compare value. We offer small group training led by certified instructors; our average member comes 3 or 4 times per week; our clients experience incredible results; and you begin a lifelong, social fitness journey.  Our monthly prices ranges from $99 to $149 depending on how long you commit.  There are further 15% discounts for families, couples, students and active duty military.  That equates to classes which cost between $5 and $15.  Sure, we might be a little more expensive than other places, but we provide so much more value when you experience results and the environment we’ve created.

Step 2:  On-Ramp Classes (required)

In order to give our athletes the best possible experience, we have them participate in our flexible “On-Ramp” classes which are  small group sessions designed to introduce athletes to the CrossFit methodology and movements.  Given the complexity of the movements and the uniqueness of CrossFit, this class is required for all members before attending any of our regular classes.  The classes are designed to help you build the confidence and familiarity with what we do to participate in our regular classes. Most people graduate from On Ramp in about 6 to 9 classes, but you can spend more time in On Ramp if you’d like.

Our On Ramp program classes happen every Monday and Wednesday at 6:15PM and Saturdays at Noon. Show up 10 minutes early, try a free class and decide if you want to commit to the world’s most awesome fitness journey.

Step 3:  Regular Classes

CrossFit training is meant to scale and be flexible around your fitness goals and daily schedule.  Naturally, so are our membership options.  Our prices ranges from $99 to $149 depending on how long you commit. There are further 15% discounts for families, couples, students and active duty military.

We’re the best, results-oriented gym in central Virginia. You get personal attention everyday.  If you want to see a change in your life, contact us and we’ll talk about membership. Please contact us about details.

Do I have to do On Ramp?

You have to attend at least one On Ramp class where we will assess your form and graduate you to the regular classes.

Your Launching Pad

February 16, 2012 · Kyle

I think a lot of people may wonder “Does CrossFit really get me results?” What do I, as a trainer think, when you come new to the gym?

It can be a scary thought when you first enter a CrossFit gym. It’s kinda dirty; it’s got weird crap hanging from the ceiling; it’s got people on the ground in agony and high five-ing each other. You stand around and someone talks to you or you ask them “hey, I’m new what do I do?” And they point you over to the corner with a bunch of guys in black jackets (only in the winter, I promise, but they are actually Yoga jackets.. think not manly).

Eventually you start training, and if you’ve never been exposed to high intensity training, you probably think your body is going to explode.  You hear a little chat about some weird topics…And sometime people tell me they worry about what the trainers will think of them if they are “out of shape.”

We couldn’t care less of your shape or body type. We like people who want to learn, grow and improve. That’s the most rewarding for us, seeing progress of people who know it takes hard work to get somewhere. We are here to give you a launching pad into a new awesome experience of fitness and health. Ok, maybe not that epic, but still it’s pretty cool the results we get from our clients.

CrossFit isn’t for everyone, but for those who want to work hard to improve their lifestyle and their health, it is the best thing there is.  Our trainers really know their stuff when it comes to training tricks, nutrition knowledge and a variety of unique things from MovNat, to Olympic Lifting, to how do I do my first pullup.

So come try us out  or keep working hard because that’s what matters.
