Saturday Workout: Team Competition “Love Your Ball”

Saturday is a FREE WORKOUT DAY!  Stop by the gym anytime between 10AM and Noon for an introductory workout and free personal training.  Bring a friend for your team!

Team Workout for TIME (done in Teams of 2):

  • Row 1000 Meters, Resting person must hold medicine ball overhead
  • 80 Box Jumps, Resting person must hold medicine ball overhead
  • Run 400 Meters Together with Medicine Ball
  • 80 Swinging Medicine Ball Walking Lunges
  • Run 400 Meters Together with Medicine Ball
  • 40 Burpees, Resting person must hold medicine ball overhead

Except for the running, all exercises must be done by one team member, so only one person is working while the other “rests.” Exercises must be done in order and running can’t begin until full number of reps are completed.  Each team gets one medicine ball.  Athletes should split rowing into 500M parts and split the rest of the exercises into achievable chunks.

Note: There is an immediate PENALTY of 10 Burpees for each team member if the ball ever touches the ground.

It’s going to be HOT tomorrow, so drink lots of water and make sure you are hydrated.

    This was alot of fun to participate in & watch. Excellent work everyone!

  5. like the team concept, but couldn’t be there, so I tried the famous “Cindy” instead (5 pu, 10 pushups, 15 squats: as many rounds in 20 min)

    10 min split: 11
    20 min: 17

    pullups were done strict and needed lengthy breaks to put together sets of 5 in the last few rounds. never did more than 25-30 pullups in a day. tomorrow will be interesting..
