I’m officially it a crossfit slut. I went to Crossfit Annapolis today (Thursday) and did one on one instruction with Ryan Thompson the owner. Because I was the only one there, he asked me what I was weak on. For an hour we worked on snatches and of course flexibility stuff. Because I’m not flexible at all he switched me to a split snatch. What are your thoughts on that? Doing the split snatch I was able to do 155 comfortably. Please let me know your thoughts.
Oh and a tip for those of us that hate the hook grip…driving with the hook grip will help you get used to it. I did it all afternoon and it worked. But beware of sharp turns with it.

ya, that hook grip driving is pretty badass. Kory, if the split snatch works for you, by all means do it. I wouldn’t stop working on flexibility as that’s still really important to many things, including the split snatch.
Kory – you can join Team Inflexible with me when you get back. I’m gonna do a good-form OHS if it kills me.

WOD: 4 round plus 46 SU using 12 inch box and 32# bag but could not complete all lunges with the bag. Also attempted the 18″ box for jumps….can do it but couldn’t keep up the momentum. Boo.
