What: Fight Gone Bad V happens this Saturday. It’s a fundraising event for the Wounded Warrior Foundation, LIVESTRONG and the CrossFit Foundation. It’s a community wide event, so there will be many CrossFitters all over the world doing this same event.
Fundraising: Please visit http://fgb5.org/ to setup your fundraising page and choose “CrossFit Charlottesville” as your team. If you don’t have time to do this or are too lazy, you can bring a $20 cash donation which we will donate to a local charity.
Registration: You MUST pre-register for an event time. You don’t have to be a member of our gym to participate. This event is FREE and open to the public.

Divisions
Workouts will be selected from a set of pre-scaled options. Please have a good idea of your scaling needs prior to coming in the gym. We will be able to figure out what works best for you if you don’t know. We will do our best to make equipement available, but we might need to make a few additional changes. Here are the options:
1. Class A: Standard Men = 75lb push-press and sumo deadlift high pull, 20lb wall- ball and 20 inch box jump
2. Class B: Modified Men/Standard Women = 55lb push-press and sumo deadlift high pull, 14lb wall-ball and 20 inch box Jump
3. Class C: Intermediate = 35lb push-press and sumo deadlift high pull, 8lb wall-ball and 20 inch box Jump (step ups are okay)
4. Class D: Beginner/Kids = 15lb push-press and sumo deadlift high pull, 4lb wall-ball (can be lowered to 8 foot target) and 10 inch box jumps
Will this be in lieu of the normal Saturday schedule (i.e. makeup class, olympic lifting)?
We will be running FGB from 8AM-12PM ranging from 45min.-1hr.
The first workout beginning at 8, the last workout beginning at 12. I don’t foresee this interfering with o-lifting.
So, nothing really out of the ordinary. The lovely Elizabeth Bartlett and myself will be there throughout the day, while Dave J. may be the point man for the early AM.
Hope to see a big turn out. Should be a lot of fun.
Minor correction: first workout is at 9am not 8am and the last workout will probably end at 12:30.
Thanks Elizabeth.
Outside of Dave J. being there at 8AM, the WODs will be going on from 9AM-12:30PM or so.
There are no regular classes on Saturday (no makeups, no oly lifting).
On Ramp Will have its final workout at 11.
Kyle,
Is the web cam going to be running for this? Some of my sponsors want to watch me suffer – oops, I mean, work out.
If the camera was not supposed to be on – it will be now.
Steve,
Bring your friends! It’s open to all who would suffer!
They say they are just happy to donate $$, but not sweat (accountants, go figure).
So accidentally registered for the 9am (like I’ll be up then on a Saturday), and then realizing my error, registered for 11:30am. How do I cancel the 9am reservation?
