Tuesday Workout: Filthy Fifty

WOD

For time:

  • 50 Box jumps 24/18 (inch box)
  • 50 Jumping pull-ups
  • 50 Kettlebell swings (45# / 35#)
  • Walking Lunge 50 steps
  • 50 Knees to elbows
  • 50 Push press (45 pounds)
  • 50 Back extensions,
  • 50 Wall ball shots (20/14 pound ball)
  • 50 Burpees
  • 50 Double unders

Compare to 6/10. Time cutoff is 30 minutes.

    1. Just pointing out also that the KB swings are technically RX’d at 1 Pood – 36#. But last time I did this I did at at 1.5 pood and got it done, so let’s go!

    Steph: 25:53 20#kbs, box hspu (instead of pushpress)
    Aaron: 26:45 20#kbs, box hspu (instead of pushpress), 150 single unders
    Heather: 36:55 (no time cutoff) 10#kbs, stepups, pushpress with 7lb dumbbells

    Lots of Ludacris to keep us pumped and lots of fun!!!

    sorry for being a little bit behind schedule. I forgot how much of a logistic nightmare this WOD is.

  17. 27:41 rx – my first filthy fifty. The K2E gave me a bit of trouble along with everything else. Looking forward to tomorrow.

    20:33 rx (a full minute slower than last time ๐Ÿ™ boooooo)

  19. 26:01 rx… well sort of.
    Had to use the 45# bar (too many girls, not enough lighter bars) so only did 38 reps on PP and GM (equals same amount of work so my good-at-math friends tell me).

    PR (by 2:02) and K2Es this time way more legit than in June. I even took away 3 reps from myself when I hit my triceps instead. Wall balls still make me think I suck at life, however.

  21. Well I’m just gonna go ahead and say it: our gym is totally awesome!

  22. 28:5something – 25#kb, K2E were not 2E, 8 and then 6# wallball (after about rep 20)
    faster and heavier than last time!
    however, i need remedial wallball classes

    You know its a good workout when you get home and your legs are so shot that you stumble into the wall and barely make it up the stairs. Loved this workout btw!

    Slower than June, but I only did 35 reps (plus lighter weight) back then. Exciting part now – unbroken kb swings at 35#!

    Rx everything except single unders and missed a couple K2E

  27. 28:25 (30 wb@20#, 20@14#). R(9/10x). First filthy though and my body despises me right now.

  28. had *nothing* in me today. switched to 25lb kbs and 6lb wall ball 1/2way through each set. at least i got 10 more burpees in than last time

  29. 24:38 w/ only 35 burpees.

    I had to stop doing burpees because my recently tweaked shoulder was telling me to stop.

    This performance is 15 burpees less, but about 4 minutes faster than my June WoD.

    Totally gassed at end. Great workout to come back with after being out.
