Friday: Partner Hero Wod “Carse”

U.S. Army Corporal Nathan B. Carse, 32, of Harrod, Ohio, assigned to the 2nd Engineer Battalion, 176th Engineer Brigade, based out of White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico, died in Kandahar, Afghanistan, on February 8, 2011, from wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit using an improvised explosive device. He is survived by his mother Janis and sisters Megan Brown and Kristin Purdy.

Two options for this workout
1. Complete it with a partner. Break up the reps however you want.
-Only one person has to bear crawl per round.
2.Complete it by yourself (within the 30 min cutoff time period, and if there is enough equipment)

  1. I think I’ll go solo – what a great prep for a run in the woods on Saturday morning!

Noon for us if anyone wants to watch the carnage!

  2. 18:30, 21-15-9, 95# squat clean, 145# DL 24″ box

  3. 30 min = 21-18-15-12-9 + crawl, 6 PC,12 single unders, 6 DL (DL@99#, SC@57#, 18″ box)
2x single unders subbed for dbl unders.

  4. Alex (The Wife one) and I split this up, sort of.

We did all of the movements in total, except we split the cleans evenly, except for the last two rounds, which we also did all of. Worked out to 47 cleans each, or so.

Bear crawls suck for short legged trolls like me!

    1. Eric – what run in the woods are you doing tomorrow?

      1. The Blue Ridge Burn at the Festy. My wife, and Chris Garay are going as well.

Alex and I are just doing the 5k. I plan on drinking beer by 10!

  5. 21:44

    Justin – Rx
Hillary – >Rx (men’s DL and box jump)

  6. 18:21 w/ Jenni (111 DL, 20# box, 57# SC)

  7. 21-15-9-3 rx – 17:00

  8. 18:05 – 18-12-6 (45# cleans, 89# DLs) by myself

  9. 19:35 rx with Joyce

  10. Oly (recovery) work–
snatch complex of 1 muscle snatch + 2 snatch balance + 1 (fast) squat snatch… work up to a max muscle snatch.
    30kg x2, 32.5kg x2, 35kg x2, 37.5kg x2, 40kg FAIL (*just* barely had to bend my knees to get this… so close).
Then pulled some squat snatches at 40kg and 45kg just working on speed under the bar and landing in a good position.

ALSO finally got my first 1-handed handstand (against a wall). Really simple with the right hand now, but mentally challenging with the left.

  11. with ryan. 18 something and scaled

  12. 16:51 solo – (21-15-9; 47# SC, 79# DL)

  13. solo. 17:12 (21-15-9-3). Used #15 lbs. dbs for squat cleans.
