Friday Workout: Weighted Pullups and Team WOD

Strength

Work to a 2 Rep Max Weighted Pullup

WOD

In teams of 2 complete the following (only 1 person works at a time):

100 Double Unders
50 Pullups (chest to bar)
100 HOG Pushups
100 Sandbag Cleans (58 / 42)
100 Wallballs (20 / 14)**

**Each time you break or the wall ball falls, you must do 5 burpees each.

  1. Today I learned I can do weighted pull ups. Woah. Not a big deal for most people but a huge deal for me even if it isn’t much weight! Feeling super empowered and grateful for what CF has done for my life.

    Weighted PU: 2@2kilo, 2@4kilo, 2@5kilo.
    WOD: I did half the team WOD subbed with what I had available: 150 single unders, 25 body weight rows on the squat rack for PU, RX push ups, 45# hang PC for the sandbag cleans, 50 DB thrusters using 15# DB for the WB.
    Time: 12:56

    Followed by about 15 min of jump rope practice with my new jump rope.

    1. I don’t think I’ve met you, but congrats! Weighted pullup is a HUGE accomplishment given that most people in the world above age 14 can’t do 1 pullups. Super congrats.

  2. PU: 35 lbs x2. 45×1.
    WOD: 10:45 solo (half the reps & sub 35lb kb snatch for wb)

  3. At home. 4 rounds of 2 pullups at 30 lb. Interspersed with sets of 10 pushups and 10 deadlifts at 135#. Failed on pushups at 5 rounds (last round was unweighted Pullups).

    WOD: 16:25 w/ Jenni (RBPUs, 32# SB, 10# WB for me; BBPUs/RRs, 15# DB bench press[?, Jenni help me out here], 35# SDHP, 15# DB thrusters for Jenni)

    1. Also, this was my first time doing this WOD without Lydia as my partner, and that makes me sad. 🙁

  6. 17:50 with Kendall. My normal tag team partner was chillin at the pool today. Rx except for single unders.
