Max Height Box Jump (warm-up thoroughly, use a mat if desired, and be smart)

Level 1

AMRAP in 15 minutes of:

  • DB Power Clean (30/20# per hand) x 5
  • V-up x 10
  • Wall Ball (14/10# to 9′) x 15

Level 2

CrossFit Games Open WOD 11.5

AMRAP in 20 minutes of:

  • Power Clean (145/105#) x 5
  • Toes-to-Bar x 10
  • Wall Ball (20# to 10′; 14# to 9′) x 15

Compare to 1/17/12 and 4/21/11.

    Vertical: 16″ (According to my son, that is ‘truly pathetic’… parenting goal for the week is now to instill empathy in offspring.)

    WOD: level one, 7 rounds, 55#, K2E, 12#WB (going easy since it’s been almost two weeks since I hauled myself out of bed at 5:30am…)

      And never fear, my vertical was the same as yours for a very long time (even during my volleyball and basketball days), but now (thank you Oly lifts) it’s 24″. It gets better, it does!

    WOD: 7 + 5 (85#, T2B, 14# WB)

    WOD: 7+5

    Bad schedule today, had to do in the back yard, so modified as follows:
    – Box jump–didn’t really have a good platform, so I did jumps on the stairs that go to my basement. Broad jumped up (and across) 4 steps. Then did standing vertical jumps from the steps up to the sill. Got up from 41″ down, but couldn’t try the next level due to no overhead space. Probably had a few more inches in me.
    – Wall ball–don’t have a 20# ball or a non vinyl siding 10′ wall, so I used a 12# ball and did jumping thrusters with that. I figure it was close to the same effort.
    PC and T2B as rx.

  4. Box Jump: 30″
    WOD: 7+15 (125#, K2E)

  5. 44″ jump

    11+1 Almost 2 more than last time

  6. box jump- 24″ (had to bale at 30″ since too many were watching! haha)
    WOD- 9 + 10 (rx except 79# bar)

  7. Box Jump: 32″ (Had a mental block on 34, but now I see that I’ve actually never jumped that high, so I feel less bad. I’ve been mis-remembering my maxes left and right. Log your stuff, people! Avoid my pain. 🙂 )

    WOD: 4 + 16 (10 minutes, 89# PC, 12# WB, 1 rep more than last time with 2 extra # on the WB)

    WOD: 8 + 4 Rx
    20 in vertical after WOD

  9. 49” box jump and a knarly shin bruise on the 2nd attempt

    WOD: 7 + 2 I think…still woozy. Subbed 20# V-up for T2B to save my shoulder

    22″ jump as measured on the PVC/zip tie thing
    WOD: 6 + 1, 89#, 14# WB, t2b then k2c

  11. box: 41 5/8″
    wod: 7 + 13 60kg, otherwise rx

  12. Box: 38.5 (took 10 extra minutes to get that half inch)
    Wod: 9 + 15 rx

  13. Jon won’t post it, but he did this Thursday night at AFC (before knowing it was the wod!) and got 45″

  14. 30”
    65# 8 rounds +21

  15. On Saturday

    Jumped on the wood lifting box
    WOD: struggled through 7 rounds
