Thursday Workout: Clean and Jerks, Box Jumps, and Pull-ups

13.2 is here! Very similar to previous WOD’s we did in January. Here we go!

Mobility

Spend a few minutes each on:

  • Shoulder / Overhead Mobility
  • Hamstring / Deadlift Mobility

Skill Work

Clean & Jerk Drills with a PVC and empty barbell

Strength

Build to a heavy triple Clean & Jerk (touch ‘n go) in 10 minutes.

WOD

5 rounds, aiming for the same score each round:

  • 30 seconds Box Jumps (24/20″); rest 30 seconds
  • 30 seconds Pull-ups; rest 30 seconds

  1. PC&I: 155 but it was shaky.

    WOD: 120
    (BJ: 12/12/12/12/12
    PU: 14/14/12/10/10)
    Plus no repped a bunch of jumps by coming off early.

    WOD: 99 (I have no idea how that breaks down, but way more jumps than pulls)

  3. C&J: 95, 115, 135, 1 @ 145, failed twice more at 145 and quit.
    WOD: 97

    BoxJumps 18 last round 19
    PU 15, 13, 13, 13, 9

  5. 13.2 for 6 min. and then added one minute rounds, then 2 min. rounds

  6. 13.2 245 reps

    Box jumps are not fun. I’m going to do it again on Sunday with box step downs to see if that saves enough energy to go faster on the push press and deadlifts.
